In this bumper-to-bumper, we take a stock 2024 Gas Club Car Onward and turn it into our customer's dream golf cart! But this was no ordinary request. Our customer, Jeff from Lincoln, Nebraska, runs a trucking business with some eye-catching semi trucks. He wanted us to create a custom Onward that matched one of his trucks, destined for his lake getaway in Missouri. After countless emails, phone calls, ideas, we created a solid build plan. Our mission: tear down the cart to its frame and rebuild it with all the bells and whistles, including custom paint, powder coating, a 5-channel sound system with a Stealth Sub, a 10" touchscreen, dual-zone LED lighting, and more.
?? Audio Upgrades ??
?? This sound system is a beast: Hertz 6.5" HMX speakers in the overhead console, Hertz 8" HMX speakers in a waterproof enclosure between seats, our JL Audio Stealth Sub in the backseat, and the JL M700/5 Amp. The centerpiece is the Stinger Heigh10 10" touchscreen, boasting Bluetooth, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, USB, a backup camera, and more. We're not joking when we say you will HEAR the cart before you see it coming down the road because this sound SCREAMS!
?? LED Light Magic ??
? XK Glow powers the RGB LEDs, controlled via a dash-mounted XK Glow LED controller. You can easily change colors with a tap or use the app for even more control. The LEDs illuminate the rear and front speakers, roof, underglow. The roof track dome lights are a customer favorite, helping them locate belongings and enjoy nighttime rides in style.
?? Mastering the Wiring ??
We like to build perfect looking beautiful golf carts, but we actually care more about the wiring underneath than anything else. Our wiring is a masterpiece – hidden, protected, and meticulously installed. Under the seat, we've placed Stinger's high-performance battery, capable of handling the demands of a system like this. A marine 50-amp breaker handles the amp under the dash, and a dedicated marine fuse panel powers the head unit and LED lights. Clean and protected wiring means a dependable golf cart which is a must when you're building a high dollar cart like this and shipping it 12 hours away!
?? Exterior Transformation ??
The exterior shines with a Metallic Blue finish inspired by Peterbilt's signature paint. The nose and tail are gloss clear-coated, while other parts feature a durable satin metallic clear coat. The brushguard, struts, backseat, and Jakes nerf bar steps are powder-coated in graphite texture, ensuring longevity on the trails. Modz 14" chrome bombers with 23" x-comp radial steel-belted tires complete the look.
?? Luxurious Interior ??
Inside, we've added Lazy Life premium cushion covers with cool-touch white and cool-touch gray, accented with blue stitching to match the cart's paint job. The dash cover is painted to match, housing rocker switches for party and dome lights. The Forever Sharp chrome steering wheel adds a touch of "semi-truck style," while Black Xtreme mat floormats enhance the aesthetics and comfort.
